Abstract
This is a rich book, a treasury of good things. It is also (which does
not always follow from rich books) an enriching book, one which
opens up new visions, and prompts and hints and suggests, a book
which invites its readers to explore new paths themselves. Its theme,
the nature of African Christianity, might until recently have seemed
recondite, and may still appear to be a matter of exotic or specialist
interest. If there are still any who are mildly surprised at the existence
of such an entity as African Christianity, or at least of such an entity
as to furnish a book, Kwame Bediako will quickly disabuse them.
